$60.00

A redwood tree image silhouette engraved in a piece of oak wood, filled with a black epoxy that shimmers in the light.

Out of stock

This wood art piece was created from a California black oak tree that I harvested a short distance from my house. The tree fell down from natural causes during a storm. I used a chainsaw mill to prepare the tree into slabs and dried them for over a year before starting to process the wood. The engraving is based on some redwood tree images. It is filled with a black epoxy that shimmers in the light. The piece is finished with a semi-gloss water based varnish that gives it a slight sheen but isn’t too shiny. The back has a frame hanger to hang it from a wall. The size is approximately 17.5″ tall by 10″ wide, and 3/4″ thick. Made by Corbin Dunn in the Santa Cruz mountains and signed on the back.

This is an original unique piece, and will be removed from the store when it is sold.
